Duncker. Basement, next to room 001

Sometimes it is difficult to qualify one's opinion on a bathroom. It can be clear that a particular bathroom is extremely good (or bad), but the reason why is somehow less clear. Generally, this is attributed to a bad ambiance caused by mysterious factors - bad feng shui, perhaps.

One set of restrooms that fit this description is the pair of one-seat bathrooms in the basement of Duncker Hall (near room 001). Reviewers were at a loss to explain what turned them off to these bathrooms, but the bathrooms were universally decried as being "frightening." What is clear is that the bathrooms are cramped - uncomfortable variations on the common one-seater design.

The facilities were standard, if a bit ugly. The bathrooms' one notable feature was the presence of a recycle bin, which, though unnecessary, was a nice nod to conservationism.
