Gaylord. Basement

There are some Washington University bathrooms that are heavily trafficked - located in busy buildings or simply the only bathroom in a certain area. The bathroom in the basement of the Gaylord Music Library is decidedly not one of these. Not only is it in one of the less-trafficked buildings on campus, but it is also tucked away in its basement. Although statistics on this sort of thing are unavailable, it is hard to believe that the men's and women's rooms combined get more than fifteen or twenty visits a day.

The bathrooms themselves are pretty indistinctive. Their ambiance is hurt slightly by accumulating rust and peeling paint, but their facilities are slightly above average due to a large mirror, good feminine product availability, and a conveniently-placed table. Both bathrooms also feature a vestibule, a nice bathroom feature that is not as popular as it should be in Washington University restrooms.

Needless to say, these bathrooms, which are probably used less than those in most residences, are fairly clean. Their overall averageness does not dictate special trips; potential patrons should use these bathrooms only on the off-chance that they happen to be in the area when nature calls.
