Umrath. Near the Career Center

One would think that there is not much that one-seat bathrooms can do to distinguish themselves: they pretty much invariably feature one toilet, a sink, and a paper towel machine, and are almost always laid out the same way. This is something of a misconception - in the process of reviewing Washington University's bathrooms, it became clear that certain one-toilet bathrooms are decidedly superior to or inferior to others.

One particularly good example of a one-toilet bathroom is the "Career Center" bathroom in Umrath Hall. Much about this bathroom betrays a consideration for the needs of its user - there is a large, convenient bench; a good frosted-glass window provides ample soft light; and the one mirror, though small, is well-placed. The room itself is also comfortable, having a nice high ceiling and maintaining a comfortable temperature. Additionally, the facilities were particularly clean at the time they were visited by our reviewers - generally a good indicator of the usual level of cleanliness.

Well-designed and comfortable, the Career Center bathroom is one of the better one-seat bathrooms on Hilltop Campus.
