"The Rat," once a popular student hangout, has had a sharp fall from its heyday. Now the location of a Subway-brand sandwich shop, it may be just as crowded as the Rat of old, but it is certainly less-glamorous. One also gets the impression that the Rat's bathrooms have seen more exciting days; doubtlessly once witness to much vomiting by inebriated students, it now only sees vomiting from a patron suffering the ill effects of eating a poorly-prepared sandwich.

The bathroom still has the sort of ghetto charm associated with most bar bathrooms. Its dark ambiance, featuring most notably painted brick walls, is oppressive and foreboding, and its floors and sinks are generally among the dirtiest on campus.

Other than the "bar-like" darkness and dirtiness, the restrooms are pretty average, with three toilets in the women's room, two urinals and a toilet in the men's, and a good sink and mirror setup.
