Wilson. Bottom floor

Wilson Hall was erected in 1925 and expanded in 1976. This expansion and modernization apparently missed the building's restrooms, which are so ugly and in such a state of disrepair that they merit a visit sheerly because of their badness.

The men's room on the bottom floor of Wilson is quite a sight. It features, most prominently, what is certainly the most unique shower in a campus restroom - and what must be one of the more distinctive ones anywhere. Instead of the traditional bathroom-stall-material walls found surrounding most showers, the Wilson shower features what seems to be pink marble covered in layers of rust and dirt. Indeed, rust and dirt are a recurring motif in this bathroom, which features a rusting industrial fan, flatly scary pipework and wiring, and several fuse boxes.

The bathroom does offer - if in frightening form - all of the basics that you'd expect from a bathroom (and throws in a shower), but - other than for tourism purposes - it should generally be avoided. McDonnell Hall, which is attached to Wilson, offers far, far, greater refuge for those whom nature is calling.
